Joel Wenæs Berge
Associate Professor (Adjunct Teacher)
Field of expertise: Business Economics / Management Accounting
Background: Joel holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from NHH, with a supporting specialization in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests lie at the intersection of ethics and profitability, particularly in situations where the profitable course of action falls into ethical gray areas. Joel is primarily interested in how ethical decisions are actually made, rather than how they ought to be made. He is also a podcast host, profile coordinator for one of the master’s specializations at NHH, and serves on the board of Hauge Microfinance.
Favourite quote: We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise.
