Students at HLT can complete up to 30 ECTS credits of practical training, distributed across three placement periods during their bachelor’s degree. HLT is now looking for more placement partners.
HLT aims to be a university college that is closely connected to working life — a place where students can put into practice what they learn throughout their studies. The goal is for students to graduate with both academic knowledge, practical experience, and a strong passion for their field.
To support this development, how students use their placement periods is an important tool. These periods give students the opportunity to gain experience, try different types of tasks, receive new impulses from other contexts and environments, build networks, and get to know new people — all of which can become an important part of their educational journey.
This is why “Praksistorget” (The Internship Marketplace) exists. It is a digital platform where churches, companies, and organizations can advertise internship placements completely free of charge. In practice, it works like a job listing where organizations describe what they can offer a student. Students can then send their application and CV directly to the placement provider if they wish to apply. To become a placement provider, the organization must provide a placement supervisor.
What defines the content of a placement is up to the placement provider, but the purpose of the placement period is to give students experience with work and leadership.
