Background: Åkerlund holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and serves as a Professor of Leadership at HLT. He has previously worked as a journalist and media teacher at the upper secondary school level, and he is the author of six books, including A Phenomenology of Pentecostal Leadership (2018) and his most recent work, Tråden heter trofasthet (2024). In addition to his academic career, he is also a preacher and author, with a strong passion for practical ministry within Christian contexts.
