Field of expertise: Philosophy of religion
Background: Professor at the Department of Religion, Life Stance and Church Studies, Volda University College. His research is interdisciplinary and includes disciplines such as philosophy, philosophy of science, aesthetics, theology and religion. He received his PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim (2005) with a thesis on the relationship between natural science and theology. Has been a visiting scholar for three periods at Princeton Theological Seminary. In the period 2010-2018 was ‘scientific program officer’ in the European Society for the Studies in Science and Theology (ESSSAT).
